I got an epiphany to start this blog after hearing a few hollywood actors using the F WORD ( ie f--k--g) in polite company where women & children were present as they spoke in front of large audiences. I was really disappointed and embarrassed by their behavior but there was nothing I could really do at the moment without probably getting shouted down, escorted out, etc, even though it would be the right thing to do. Being a gentleman can get you ostracized these days, but I know I was not the only one in the audience offended by their language in mixed company of polite society. So I decided the least I could do is start a blog that listed the names of such offenders to at least TRY to SHAME THEM..., although if they speak that way so nonchalantly in police company, I'm not sure anything will shame them. Nonetheless, I hope it will help. Or at least maybe some of their fans will realize they are being so rude and maybe the prospect of losing a few fans because of their bad behavior will make them think twice in the future about using such vulgar & profanity in polite mixed company.
The #1 offender who sparked my indignation happened in February 2017 at George Segal's Hollywood Star Walk of Fame ceremony. It was a "producer" by the name of Kevin Smith (known best for his trashy movie called "Clerks"). George asked Smith to say a few words on his behalf at the ceremony (huge age & generation gap, not sure why he asked Smith to be there for him, but he did) and Smith proceeded to drop F-bomb after F-bomb including a story about his mom and dad, and his dad jealous about his mom's attraction towards George Segal, and re-telling a story that included the F-word by his dad about his mom & George (no need to repeat it).
So KEVIN SMITH gets the first "shame on you" for the F Word Offender blog. C'mon Smith, have a little class. There were a lot of people in the audience of different ages, and mixed company. That's a story you tell in the locker room with your kind of pals, not at a ceremony such as this. Shame on you Smith.
Stay tuned for more.
